The moment we have all been waiting for arrived last night as the gate dropped on the first round of the 2017 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season. It was full of epic crashes, first time victories, and a few surprises that no one really saw coming.
The race was highly anticipated as the 450 class was the most stacked it has been in recent memory. However, it was a lot less dramatic in that class than we would have expected as Ken Roczen absolutely walked away from everyone. He ended up dominating the night and the fantasy supercross rankings with 76 points. The hard charger of the night goes to Jason Anderson as he started in 10th and climbed all the way up to 4th.
Shocker of the night happened in the 250 class as Shane Mcelrath stole the show in the main event leading wire to wire. This was shocking as he was started in less than 1% of leagues! Meanwhile Plessinger turned a few heads throughout the entire day, and managed second on the night. Forkner has the scariest wreck on the night, doing a complete front flip in the whoops, but he still managed to salvage 8th place.
